A leader in agri-environment since 1999

Founded by Jacques and Charles Nault in 1999, Logiag remains an agri-environment leader in Quebec.

For 25 years, our mission has remained the same: to support sustainable agricultural practices that are economically viable, environmentally sound, and socially acceptable, thanks to the development of IT tools and technologies, and our consulting services.

A pioneer in climate transition

Since 2021, we offer a unique service in Quebec: climate transition. This “carbon farming” allows you to benefit from climate change.

More specifically, it allows you to fight against global warming, while improving soil health and creating a new “carbon asset” to exploit.

Innovation, always

Innovation is at the heart of what we do. The proof: we invest over 45% of our gross income in R&D projects and training.

If it serves the interests of farms or agri-food processors, we don’t hesitate to explore new horizons and move into uncharted territory to find creative solutions to their challenges.

We have also created a number of technologies, software and mobile applications.

For example, we invented the LaserAg measuring instrument. This world-class technology was developed over the course of a decade, in collaboration with the INO research center, the Computer Research Institute of Montréal and the National Research Council Canada.

Today, this instrument analyzes soils in just a few minutes, without the use of chemicals. Its validity for the analysis of soil organic carbon has been recognized in a Quebec regulation on afforestation and reforestation adopted in 2023. LaserAg’s accuracy for this type of analysis was also been recognized by the international Indigo Carbon Challenge competition, in 2021.

We also have strong expertise in IT development.

Our Registre+MRF+ or Carbone+ software are unique tools in Quebec.

Registre+, for example, gathers in one place all the data concerning your operations and makes it accessible to your farm advisor. This includes information about your fertilizer applications, your yields, and your obligations under your agri-environmental fertilisation plan (AEFP).

Carbone+ supports climate transition by easily and accurately estimating a farms GHG emissions, thanks to its emissions modeling functions and its data entry and calculation tools.

An experienced and faithful team

We have a multidisciplinary, experienced and faithful team of about 100 agrologists, engineers, biologists, computer programmers and physicists, amongst others.

Our employees stay. Among the 36 people we employed in 2014, 13 are still with us in 2024. And today, almost a third of our staff have been with us for at least five years.

This faithfulness is due to a high degree of autonomy and good working conditions and an our environmental mission and technologies that keep them interested and engaged.

Our workforce is highly diverse. More than a quarter of our staff are first-generation immigrants from France, Africa, Haiti, Iran and Brazil. This diversity of staff is also reflected in the almost equal proportion of men and women. The management team is even exclusively female, with the exception of the two founders.

In short, our five values are embodied on a daily basis:

  • Authenticity: transparency and honesty, both internally and externally;
  • Audacity: willingness to experiment with new ideas, even if it means making mistakes;
  • Efficiency: support for training and continuous improvement of processes;
  • Synergy: consideration of all points of view and real collaboration;
  • Commitment: adherence to the company’s mission and pride in its accomplishments.

An extensive network

To better serve you, we collaborate with an extensive network of entrepreneurs, organizations and government departments. We can meet the needs of approximately 6,000 agricultural producers thanks to our collaboration with agricultural consulting services throughout Quebec.

These companies – our partners – visit the farms and enter their data in Register+. Our agronoists then analyze this data and make recommendations that our partners can share with you.

In addition, we are recognized as a service provider by the Agriconseils network, which allows us to provide you with subsidies from the Programme services-conseils made available by the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ).

We also work closely with several agricultural organizations and associations, such as the Quebec Farmers’ Association, the Prince Edward Island Federation of Agriculture, the Canadian Forage Plant Association and Regeneration Canada.

Finally, we maintain links with Quebec and Canadian government departments. In addition to the MAPAQ, we work with the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
