GHG Inventory

What is it?

The annual greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory of your operation is the starting point of your climate transition. It is an picture of your current emissions that follows internationally recognized standards. 

This inventory takes into account your farming practices and various characteristics of your operation to estimate your emissions for three GHGs: carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). Depending on your situation, the inventory takes into account: 

  • Parcels size
  • Types of crops
  • Use of mineral fertilizers
  • Yypes of animals
  • Animals’ feed
  • Windbreaks
  • Fuel used for your machinery
  • Etc.

Please note that we generally complete our inventory with a measurement of the organic carbon of your soils.

Enviro-Access is itself a trusted organization, accredited to ISO 14065:2013 by the Standards Council of Canada under its Greenhouse Gas Accreditation Program.
