What is it?

A plan d’accompagnement agroenvironmental (PAA) is much more than just an administrative procedure. It allows you to: 

  • Draw up an agri-environmental portrait of your farm
  • Choose, plan and prioritize the practices to be implemented

Please note that the PAA is required to qualify for certain programs offered by the Financière agricole du Québec, as well as under the proAction certification program of Dairy Farmers of Canada.

What’s in it for me?

The PAA is a useful tool: no less than 80% of Quebec producers have one, reports Statistics Canada! With good reason. A PAA forces you to take stock of your practices and decide how to improve them in order to increase your profitability.

Also, completing a PAA is often mandatory if you want to access Programme services-conseils subsidies.
