What is it?
A plan d’accompagnement agroenvironmental (PAA) is not just an administrative procedure. It allows you to:
- Draw up an agri-environmental portrait of your farm
- Choose, plan and prioritize the practices to be implemented
Also, Dairy Farmers of Canada requires that Quebec producers complete an AAP in order to meet the requirements of the proAction certification program.
The PAA is the tool of choice to review your practices and increase your profitability.
What’s in it for me?
The PAA seems to be an interesting tool since no less than 80% of Quebec producers have one, reports Statistics Canada! With good reason. A PAA forces you to take stock of your practices and decide how to improve them in order to increase your profitability.
Also, completing a PAA is often mandatory if you want to access Prime-Vert program and Programme services-conseils subsidies.
