Environmental authorization
What is it?
If you are planning to establish, modify, or expand your breeding facilities (or the livestock they hold), you may need an environmental authorization from the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Change, Wildlife, and Parks (MELCCFP). These authorizations include ministerial authorizations and declarations of conformity, formerly known as the “certificate of authorization” and “project notice,” respectively.
These regulatory procedures are based, in particular, on the preparation of agronomic documents (such as a phosphorus balance sheet or an AEFP) that outline the projected situation of your farm. The goal is to demonstrate that, even after your project is completed, your farm will continue to comply with regulations.
