A leader in agri-environment since 1999

Founded by Jacques and Charles Nault in 1999, Logiag remains an agri-environment leader in Quebec.

For more than 20 years, our mission has remained the same: to support sustainable agricultural practices that are economically viable, environmentally sound, and socially acceptable.

A pioneer in climate transition

Since 2021, we offer a unique service in Quebec: climate transition. This “carbon farming” allows you to benefit from climate change.

More specifically, it allows you to fight against global warming, while improving soil health and creating a new “carbon asset” to exploit.

Unique technologies

Our work is based on in-house developed technologies and software that are tailored to your needs. This software is generally offered free of charge to our partners.

Our Registre+ and MRF+ software are unique tools in Quebec. Registre+, for example, gathers in one place all the data concerning your operations and makes it accessible to your farm advisor. This includes information about your fertilizer applications, your yields, and your obligations under your agri-environmental fertilisation plan (AEFP).

We have also created LaserAgTM, a world-class technology developed in collaboration with the research centre INO Research Centre, the Computer Research Institute of Montreal and National Research Council Canada.

Today, LaserAgTM analyzes soil in a matter of minutes, without the use of chemicals. This technology won the “Quantify” prize in the 2021 Indigo Carbon Challenge international competition.

An experienced team

We have a solid and experienced team of about 50 agrologists, engineers, biologists and computer programmers with varied backgrounds and specialties.

Charles Nault, Eng, and MBA has more than 20 years of experience as a manager. He is committed to the well-being of his employees, which he considers to be one of the main factors of their motivation and performance. He is also committed to innovation when making decisions.

Our agronomy team has several outstanding employees with over 10 years of experience, including Caroline Noël, Evens Jean, Éric Poupart and Catherine Girard

Raquel Rodriguez Perez, Agr, and PhD, worked for many years on applications for certificates of approval filed with the Quebec ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs, obtaining a very high acceptance rate. In 2023, she opted for a position with the climate transition team as Research and Methology Manager.

Jean-Christophe Hébert, Agr, and Rosanne Chabot, Agr, Eng, and PhD, co-manage our agricultural engineering department with great passion and generosity.

Over the years, Jean-Christophe has acquired a unique expertise in soil grading, including GPS and laser field surveys, analysis with various software and the creation of machine files.

Rosanne has extensive knowledge of drainage as well as international experience. This expertise allowed her to co-author the Centre de référence en agriculture et agroalimentaire du Québec’s most recent guide on drainage.

Samuel Charpentier, BCS, manages the developers of our computer department. His team continuously optimizes our in-house software to meet the needs of our agronomists, clients and partners.

Hendrick Hassert, MA, founded our climate transition department before being promoted Director of Climate Transition Strategy and Business Development. This outstanding communicator and organizer has created a service that was previously unheard of in Quebec, which allows you to be paid as an agricultural producer when you reduce your greenhouse gas emissions.

Kevin McMeekin, MS, helped create LaserAgTM and continues to develop the technology. Kevin’s knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning allows him to create innovative and competitive equipment.

An extensive network

To better serve you, we collaborate with an extensive network of entrepreneurs, organizations and government departments. We can meet the needs of approximately 6,000 agricultural producers thanks to our collaboration with agricultural consulting services throughout Quebec.

These companies – our partners – visit the farms and enter their data in Register+. Our agronoists then analyze this data and make recommendations that our partners can share with you.

In addition, we are recognized as a service provider by the Agriconseils network, which allows us to provide you with subsidies from the Programme services-conseils made available by the Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation du Québec (MAPAQ).

We also work closely with several agricultural organizations and associations, such as the Quebec Farmers’ Association, the Prince Edward Island Federation of Agriculture, the Canadian Forage Plant Association and Regeneration Canada.

Finally, we maintain links with Quebec and Canadian government departments. In addition to the MAPAQ, we work with the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
